Leslie Altic

My name is Leslie and I am a birth and postnatal doula based in Belfast. Having my own children led me down this path and I have been supporting parents as a birth worker and service user advocate for over 7 years now.

I personally know that the journey into parenthood is not always straightforward. My first baby, Joshua, was stillborn; I then had two very healthy, but extremely anxious pregnancies and births of my rainbow babies. The continuous support that I received during this time gave me an appreciation of how precious this time is and how, with the right information and support, birth can and should be a positive and empowering life-changing event.

I believe that all expectant parents deserve to have a positive birth experience, in a way that is significant to them, so that they make the transition to parenthood feeling confident. I am passionate about supporting clients to make their own informed decisions, ensuring that they feel safe, supported and nurtured. It is an absolute privilege to walk alongside people on this journey, and I would be positively delighted to support anyone in any way I can.
